| Description: | Ssouthern extent of the Alappad disaster zone in Kollam district, Kerala where thousands of houses were damaged and 130 people were killed by the tsunami on 26th of December, 2004. Water gushed into the fishing hamlets around 11 am. Tsunami ravaged the villages unprotected by sea walls. | |
