The 33rd Indian National Committee (INC) meeting for IGCP was conducted on 25th January 2008 at Geological Survey of India (GSI), Central Headquarters, Kolkata. IGCP India Newsletter - 27, which encompasses Indian IGCP activities during 2007, was released by Shri P.M. Tejale, Director General, GSI and Chairman, INC for IGCP. The on-going IGCP projects in India were reviewed and two new projects IGCP - 540 and 557 were considered for Indian participation |

| Call for nomination for IGCP - 540 & IGCP - 557 IGCP - 540 entitled “Gold-bearing Hydrothermal Fluids of Oregenic Deposits” and IGCP - 557 entitled “Diamonds, Xenoliths and Kimberlites” have been taken up for Indian participation for 2007-2011.
