- GSI has excellent facilities for analysis of rocks, soils, water and ores
- All the chemical laboratories are well equipped with the modern
instruments.
- It has an experienced team of analytical chemist well versed in analysing
geological materials.
- There
are in all 21 chemical laboratories situated in different parts of
India
including CHQ, regional headquarters and operational units and wings
(Bihar, Orissa, PH-HP, J & K, Gujarat, Maharashtra, MP, Tamilnadu,
Kerala apart form Marine Wing offices at Waltair and Mangalore.
